Why Shiprocket thinks every Indian business needs to embed AI in the next 12 months
Shiprocket CEO Saahil Goel says the launch of Fastrr, the company's new AI-powered checkout platform, reflects a narrowing window for Indian founders to build a lasting AI advantage.
Shiprocket CEO Saahil Goel has a blunt message for Indian founders: the window to build a lasting AI advantage is closing fast. Speaking about the company’s newly launched Fastrr platform, an AI-powered checkout system unveiled Thursday, Goel said, “We are at the point where AI is becoming table stakes for every Indian business. The founders who embed AI into the businesses they build over the next 12 months will create a compounding advantage that others will find increasingly difficult to close.”
Fastrr itself is designed as an AI-native pre-order suite that brings together Shiprocket’s evolving pre-order commerce stack into a single intelligent platform. The goal, according to the company, is to help brands acquire, understand and convert customer intent through AI-powered experiences, rather than juggling a patchwork of separate tools.
That fragmentation is a real problem for many online sellers, Shiprocket says. As brands increasingly rely on multiple point solutions to manage the pre-order customer journey, their technology stacks have become complex and disconnected, resulting in inconsistent customer experiences and operational inefficiencies. Fastrr consolidates Shiprocket’s existing capabilities across that journey into one AI-native system.
Goel described Fastrr as the company’s direct answer to the broader AI opportunity he sees across Indian business, bringing together intelligent capabilities meant to help brands acquire, convert and engage customers more effectively through a single platform.
