IBPS SO 2026: 745 Specialist Officer Vacancies, Applications Close 21 July

IBPS has invited applications for 745 Specialist Officer posts across 11 public sector banks under CRP SPL-XVI, with the deadline set for 21 July 2026.

The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) has invited online applications for 745 Specialist Officer (Scale I) posts across 11 participating public sector banks, under its CRP SPL-XVI recruitment cycle for 2026.

Vacancies span IT Officer (301), Agricultural Field Officer (190), Law Officer (105), Rajbhasha Adhikari (89) and HR/Personnel Officer (60) — Marketing Officer has no vacancies announced this year. IBPS describes the numbers as indicative, with the final count subject to change by the banks concerned.

Online applications opened 1 July 2026 and close 21 July 2026, through ibps.in only. Eligibility differs by post: IT Officer requires a relevant four-year engineering or postgraduate degree, Agricultural Field Officer needs an agriculture-related bachelor’s degree, Law Officer requires an LLB with Bar enrollment, HR/Personnel Officer needs a postgraduate HR qualification, and Rajbhasha Adhikari requires a Hindi or Sanskrit postgraduate degree.

Candidates must fall between 20 and 30 years of age as on 1 July 2026, with relaxation for reserved categories as per Government of India norms. The application fee is ₹175 for SC/ST/PwBD candidates and ₹850 for General/OBC/EWS candidates, payable online.

The selection process has three stages — a qualifying Preliminary Examination, a Main Examination combining objective and descriptive sections, and a Common Interview — with the final merit list drawing on Main Exam and Interview marks in an 80:20 ratio. Prelims are tentatively set for 29 August 2026, Mains for 1 November 2026.

Selected candidates enter at Junior Management Grade Scale I with basic pay starting at ₹48,480 and rising to ₹85,920 as per the defined scale, along with DA, HRA and other allowances at their allotted bank among institutions including Indian Bank, UCO Bank, Central Bank of India and Bank of Maharashtra.
