Delhi Becomes Emirates’ Third Indian A380 Destination From October 25

Emirates will add Delhi to its Airbus A380 network from October 25, joining Mumbai and Bengaluru as the airline expands its double-decker service in India.

Delhi will become the third Indian city to receive regular Airbus A380 flights from Emirates, with the airline’s flagship double-decker aircraft set to join the Dubai–Delhi route from October 25.

The A380 will take over one of Emirates’ daily Dubai–Delhi services, offering its four-class cabin configuration that includes Premium Economy. The other three daily flights on the route will continue to run on retrofitted four-class Boeing 777 aircraft. Mumbai and Bengaluru already receive regular A380 service from the airline.

Adnan Kazim, Emirates’ Deputy President and Chief Commercial Officer, said the expansion underlines the carrier’s continued commitment to India, and that Emirates is also expanding Premium Economy access across more of the country.

Starting at the end of October, Premium Economy will be offered on Emirates flights to six Indian cities — Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Ahmedabad, Kolkata and Kochi — with the airline saying nearly half of its scheduled weekly flights to India will feature the cabin by then.

The moves come as Emirates points to growing passenger demand on India–Dubai routes, with the airline signalling further service enhancements planned as part of its continued investment in the Indian market.
